Top 5 piston doors in minecraft

In this article we’ll be going over five of the best redstone piston doors in minecraft. The doors that are being featured are not ridiculously big or complicated considering redstone, so that they’re also buildable in survival mode.

#5: 2×2 flush & seamless hidden piston door

by Mumbo Jumbo

The fact that this door was built over five years ago doesn’t change that this 2×2 door is one of the smallest currently available. It opens quickly and the build hasn’t got that big of a footprint. Watch the video (with tutorial) below!

Although five years old, this still is one of the smallest doors.

#4: 3×3 sand piston door

by docm77

Here we see another alternative to a regular, mainstream piston door: a ‘sand door’. This door uses the force of gravity to open de door, and then it simply pushes the sand blocks back up when it closes. Not that difficult considering redstone, but it’s definitely a nice looking door.

#3: Supercharged 4×4 vault door

by Mumbo Jumbo

Another one from Mumbo Jumbo: this time it’s a vault door. This piston door especially scores many points on design. The redstone behind the door is not that complicated, but it just looks good.

#2: Seamless glass hipster door

by MDP & Teo

Here we get to know a way different type of piston door: the hipster door. The point of a hipster door it that the door closes and opens from the floor. This makes it extra difficult, because you have to put all the redstone under the floor, and four blocks have to go through a 2-block gap. This difficulty definitely makes the footprint larger, as you can see in the showcase video.

#1: Tiny, fast and super sync 4×4 piston door

by Sidney600MC

This build by Sidney600MC (and his friend) is simply amazing, it has every reason to be at #1 in this list. Although not being invisible when closed, it’s incredibly small. Watch the video below: the tutorial starts at 2:42, it’s done at 10:40.
